The Old Folks Home

Just fruit alone is all one needs for a healthy desert.

What did you think of the 3 legged chicken pic?
It is very weird to see the extra leg and the foot with extra toes.

It seems like a simple gene replication error that lead to the birth defect. No one knows what causes that for sure.

I sat her down and had to explain things like s*xual slavery and how she could disappear and we would never see her again. After a lot of graphic descriptions, she understood and didn't question us on the topic again.
That never stopped 2 of my daughters from pitching fits and making everyone around them miserable. That sort of thing COULDN'T, WOULDN'T ever happen to THEM. Didn't change my mind though. Whether or not they wanted protecting, they got it. Now they are out of state and the younger one is doing everything she ever wanted to do, the other has already done it, they are together. Not my responsibility anymore so go do whatever your little heart desires BUT I am still entitled to my opinion of your behavior. Some day when she realizes that she should have listened to my guidance

, I might or might not tell her I told you so. Depends on the circumstances. The older one is still growing out of it.

I have got to make something this year to draw attention to flu season. If you were with us last year you saw the Vaccination Vixen outfit complete with knee high boots, red cape and mask:

This year I've got to come up with something equally as funny to draw attention (and thus interest) to the roving carts of flu vaccine for staff and patients.

Anyone have any fine ideas?

Sylviaanne I completely understand your frustration. With me it is my DS. No matter what he is told, no matter that he always had to face consequences for his actions he still has to find out the hard life lessons the hard way. It is so difficult to stand by and let them fall or they won't learn that hey, fire burns. I am keeping my

that his new found appreciation for how tough life can be will stick. I don't have high hopes but I'm his mom so I am eternally hopeful he will "get a clue" one day. I figure he is going to be 21 this year. Boys usually start using their brain in a consistently useful manner around 25. I have at least four more years but probably more with him. He is a VERY young soul. I completely get it when other adults choose not to have children. They are your greatest joy but they are also your greatest sorrows at times.

SCG any reason Vaccination Vixen wouldn't work a second year?

It will work again... we will continue to have Miss Vixen but only the occ health nurse will wear that outfit. She did require a bit of therapy afterwards.

I was thinking sashes (which should be fairly easy to sew) with a cute slogan on them... but I'm at a loss for the slogan.
