Imagine the smell if any go bad............

x 10 THough I have found if the eggs are not broken they do last a very long time. I usually break one egg at a time to see how many I can use as dog food. I'm always surprised by how many are good.

wolftracks, I was going to ask why you had rogue chickens then I saw you lived in Modesto. Being from Cali, from the South Bay to Riverside county, I wonder not anymore having been to Modesto. I always was amazed at the stuff running around loose out there. Seems, the old owner would just turn them loose or lose them a friend told me once. Well that explained the chickens but the rest of what I saw was never explained.
And, no, coffee may be dropped as long as I don't hear a certain brand mentioned. snickers... Out here, a friend had one of his hens make a nest on the underside of a seat in his small boat that was turned upside down. he didn't know where she would disappear to until one day, he saw it was raining biddies from under the boat. She had 9 of them there. So Chicken will make a nest anywhere their little hearts desire... Good idea about the wire around the car. Plus, you have a new coop, well kind of....

Arielle, yes that is our "back yard". The mountains are about 20 miles from the house. I do have to admit they look pretty with the snow on them.

GOrgeous!! We don't have mountains like that on the east coast!!

Stumpy you should try peppermint tea. it's the best hot tea and the only one I can drink without sugar although I prefer it with sugar

ah, go ahead and take us with you. Ya got a smart phone, notebook or anyother new wavey thingies, don't ya??? I promise not to coach anyone on the improper ways to do stuff. smiles... On the plus side, while the other half is resting, you can be catching up. been there done that... well I was the one sleeping after being used and abused.... happy Honeymoon... wait a minute, mmm, this is the old folks home and you are getting married or remarried or what???? I know in Bama, you are only allowed one wife, one husband and I think one goldfish. or maybe this is the Honeymoon promised when you both were poor, young and (post your own word here)..
