The Old Folks Home

Wow, 77 grams is a big egg for a hen that size! That 126 gram egg was from one of my peaheans.

I have four Amelias. They were the first hens back from molting and are laying very nicely. Yesterday I collected 4 eggs. The third egg from an Arkansas Blue--a blue egg weighin 52G. The Amelia eggs are light green to Olive and were 69G, 72G and 77G. They are my smallest hens too.

They have excellent feed conversion!

Oh, Roboduck, one assignment before you are considered a full fledged member. I didn't want to make this a requirement, but Vehve insisted and he can be quite persistent if he doesn't get his way. You must post four pictures. One of chickens or eggs, one of a person you find attractive but don't know personally, one of either your garden or one you would like to have, and one of what you are having for supper tonight. I'm sorry, it really is silly but we like to humor Vehve.

OK..... here are the eggsies
My Wellie eggs..... RIP Wellies

top three are Guinea Pullet eggs Bottom four are Araucana Eggs.... Yep the tailess kind

I tried to hatch em The Guineas hatched..... even after they played football with them for a few days before I found em.
Araucanas are notorious for not hatching.

Two Pearls and One Royal Purple.

one of THESE layed those Guinea eggs

I got forty of em from PeepsCA.... She packed em in their box with slices of watermelon.... When they arrived they smelled like Watermelon.... and their poops were red. Which they ate immediately....
