The Old Folks Home

We don't have poop boards, but we do the kitty litter scoop thing with the hemp bedding every morning. Works nicely too, I've had the same bedding in the coop for 5 weeks now, and absolutely no smell to be noticed, and it looks as clean as the day we put it there. I can probably wait until spring before emptying it out.

My poop boards create extra square footage, big plus right now with the combined flocks and ducks...

I might have to do thru mail order to do that, I just dont want to be dependant upon the hatcherys after I get my regular stock plus I am a bit hesitant with mail order anything let alone chickens :) I've seen all these stories about how the hatchery stuffs extra roos in and some not getting even th chicken they ordered....makes me more nervious then a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs
