Occassionally my system goes for a overhaul-- for days, like 4-5, and I am beside myself without the connection. . . . .miss everyone.

the lack of Internet was livable but explaining to my boy why his shows wouldn't work was horrible.

It's 6:20 on the 15th and I have 7 of 12 eggs fully hatched. It's a homemade incubator using a large styrofoam cooler someone gave me. Got the Lilly girl keeping me company while her older brother sleeps through all this chirping at this way too early hour. She's wide awake, and I am only not sleeping because of her. It's a wonderful world full of things to investigate when your a 18 month old and chicks are part of that wonder. I am glad she's a grandchild and Monday, I'll be back to my regular schedule.

Watching chicks hatch is a wonder that never grows old, but I'd have a hard time giving up sleep to share in that wonder, too!

There is something extra special about watching little ones discover the world.

Change can be hard on the kids; they get more flexible as they grow up!!
