That is an Arkansas blue egg layer on day 7 or so. You can see veins in it and the light makes it look very cool.

Oh I can't wait for my incubator!!! Should show up on the 19th...
I love candling eggs, it will be nice to not tick off a broody to do it.

Thanks all! Waking up to 31 degrees this am and thinking time to get the light bulb under the waterier Brrrr. Our first real cold day. We're getting that cold front from Canada these next few days then back to 50s it looks like to me

Ahhh! The house was calm and quiet. Who (dog) was asleep on sofa. Gip (chicken) was in my lap watching cartoons for the first time. I was reading email. Nice, calm and quiet.

Then Gip started "growling" and staring under the table. I almost hit the ceiling. Then she did that giraffe neck. I still can't see anything under there but she's still staring.

I'm awake now. Not as bad as when one of the dogs does a similar "Danger Will Robinson! Danger! Intruder Alert!" But still enough to startle.
