The Old Folks Home

We have a plow on our old tractor. We have over a foot of fresh, heavy, wet snow since yesterday morning and it's still falling with drifting several feet high in spots. We have a driveway close to a 1/4 mile long w/o the turn around. If we did that with just a shovel we wouldn't get to the mailbox w/o snowshoes until spring. Trust me.

.
As far as meals - eating out I usually get the 'kids meal,' which brings out a lot of raised eye brows from the wait staff. That way I have plenty of room for ice cream later.
Trouble with the kids meals is that they are really bland, kind of like the senior citizens menus.

I feel real dumb. I bought a friends John Deere garden tractor when he moved out of town. I could have gotten the snow plow for it free but we just didn't have any more room on the truck, it was packed with all sorts of stuff.
I got the tire chains. My driveway is all gravel so I'm not a fan of plowing gravel into my yard. But last winter I was kicking myself. I probably could have set the plow at a couple inches above grade.

hennible, that kind of doors are cool, but like you said, loosing a bird poses a problem. I also like the feeders some people have made, they require a chicken standing in front of them to open, for lighter animals they won't open.

Oz, why do you say that EE's don't offer any ornamental value? Poor ugly EE mutts...

We don't have Eskimos or Inuits or Inuktituts here, only the Sami people. They are traditionally a semi-nomadic reindeer herding group of people, who live in what is now the northern parts of Finland, Sweden, Norway and parts of Russia. Renée Zellweger's mother is a Norwegian Sami.

Thank you I was trying to think of the name of the "Sami" people

Just breathing adds weight! I swear though, me and my metabolism is "ready" for the end of the world. It'll be me, you, and the cockroaches that survive.

Hehehe

SCG, growing an exoskeleton?

:lau

Very nice chart and site.

The only time I get help is when I hold a class on processing,

Hmmm. Maybe it's time to schedule another class.:old

All I need to know now is how to pronounce it.

Who knew, I'm an Eskimo.

I can't handle 'high meat' though.

You guessed the connection. Remote controls have made it worse.
Remember when we had to get up and walk across the room to watch a different channel?

You're on the right track.
I took a couple friends from Zimbabwe to lunch at the Welsh Pub my wife managed. They kept commenting on how huge Americans' meals are. When their lunch came out they just laughed at how big it was. Needless to say they couldn't come close to finishing it.

You forgot about kids.... When I lose the remote I get the little guy to change the channel :D

Never say no to free john deer accessories... Tisk tisk.

Hi everyone! Loving the forum! I am 52. Am I old enough? LOL I have the 8 girls, just 1 who started laying last week, and a new squatter on Saturday. This is our 4th batch in a small back yard. Wish I had the acreage for what I would love to have :D But very satisfied with what we do have! This batch we went with an 1 EE, 2 olive eggers, a Marans, 1 salmon faverolle, and 3 white RIs.
