The Old Folks Home

Ron, nice looking birds. I like the shape.

They are a cross of araucana and leghorn. I picked the rooster for his shape and then picked these pullets(his babies) out of about 50 this fall based on the way they looked.

I really do not want to ruin them with bad breeding so I am being picky.

I plan on getting hatching eggs from the person I got the first ones from next year. That way I can work with my best and her best--synergy in breeding is the hope.

Bama beat MS state. I hope Mizzou beats Texas A&M.
Mizzou on it's way to their second consecutive ACC East title.

Did you start with leghorns and araucanas or with the hybrid?

I am a fan of blur birds

(not to eat, though)

Let me know when your egg selling project is underway, s.v.p.

VERY pretty
They are egg laying chickens and not eating. They are small large fowl and will weigh in the 4 pound range at a year old. The boys are a bit bigger but not really dual purpose.

They do lay a lot of eggs though. I will also have some OEs since I will be putting a couple of Partridge Penedesencas in with them.
