There are three classes of camanis... I think the grade One are literally black to the bone, 2nd class has less pigment and third class even less I don't remember where they had less pigment...

rememebr reading something somewhere how not everyones gas has methane or something in it but that some ppl do...as a kid someone did it and it ignited internally....... I couldnt even fanthom how aweful the healing on that was

While at college a group of classmates were lighting farts (through their undershorts) to see who could produce the largest flame. Some dimbulb decided to remove the obstruction of underwear for a winning performance. He lighted 'internally and externally' and ended up in the infirmary. Not a good idea.

fibromelanosis seems to be specifically for birds..... there are a couple of threads here on BYC that have scientists that discuss the subject....

Some of the pictures on this link have been photo shopped.... but there are alot showing examples of different breeds of chickens that have this trait. But I understand the difference between Mealinism and Fibromelanosis is Malanism effects coat only Fibromelanosis affects the bones and muscles as well.

BTW Silkeys tend to be Fibromelanistic.
