Don't be so sure, how many hunters bag a bourbon red thinking they discovered a new turkey!!! lol

Ok, I..was...the...one...to fall today. In my kitchen! Over the dogs' bone. Knee, elbow actually split open, just tiny, no biggy, but buggy. Scrape on the knee through my jeans. No biggy, just buggy.
My DH husband heard me fall, I had hit the floor first, then the cabinet with my elbow trying to catch myself. Nothing broken. A big yaay. We worry about those broken bones at this age ya know, especially when you have Osteo.

I must be a tough ol bird. Did ok.

So, got a bit of snow today. DiDi, did you guys get much where you are. It just snowed off and on all day...lightly. It was pretty.

The bunny cookies ? or is it breads, look very cute!! Hope you are ok CYnthia!! A split is very painful and seem to take forever to heal. Just annoying really.

Bamachick, hope your DH has put it in his schedule to get on it tomorrow. Maybe a little reminder?

To morrow is our turn to get the big storm. THe last one was fine, all 2 feet of light snow. THis one is 6-12inches of wet snow. THe snowblower is challenged by that kind of snow. Makes great forts and snowmen!!

gryeyes., Now that is how you do it. Home made chicks. I feel chicken math is when you buy not what is done naturally. So, Broodies are natures way with some help from us. You allow what you can handle.

Ok, everyone has to stop falling down, be it inside or outside. For most of us, those falls can really mess us up. Our bones are not what they use to be.
A trick I learned from a friend was, when drunk, he would slide around. Yes, it sounds dumb, but I have had to slide/pull myself up my ramps when icy. I also learned to tied ropes across areas I know to get icy that I can hold on to or pull myself up with. For you with big dogs, have you taugh them to pull you in a wagon or sleigh??? Ok, all the above sounds silly and crazy, but with a little pre-planning, you too can become less brusied, scrapped, broken and bloody. Neighbors has seen my rope set up and laugh, but one of them slipped last week and broke his hip. So who is laughing now.... Ok, not me, but guess who had his son design a rope system???? Plus you can hang clothes on it, if you keep it up always. I don't, but then the missus would kill me if i did....

Final thought... great looking rabbit bread. mayber one day I will try to make my own breads...

Everyone have as best of a weekend with this weather that you can.....

Ok, I know that in chicken math, the roosters don't count and the "retirees" don't count, and even the pullets don't count until they start to lay; but I didn't realize that the home-breds don't count either. So, since I bought a Serama pair for Baby

and hatched a bunch of their eggs, since the original hen died, we only have 1 Serama, right? Poor lonely little guy, I need to get him some hens! No, wait, he's a rooster, and they don't count, so I really need to get Baby
bun.gif
some more Seramas to replace the one(s) she lost!

Tick, I bet you've got gray and dreary just like we do, don't you? I keep reminding myself that it could always be worse - freezing rain really makes a mess around here. Brrr.

Cynthia - love the bunny buns. I'll have to try that the next time I make rolls.
