I missed that you were hatching as well. Whatcha got cookin?

Jem, they'll hatch when they're ready. I'm amazed how even you've gotten the temperature. Hope everything goes well. The humidity sounds a bit high to me though, but I suppose it's okay. SCG, any way you can fit a small computer fan in the incubator to move the air about a bit and even the temps?

Okay, since Jem was asking, here's how the cake is looking so far.

I don't dare remove the mold yet, since it needs to survive a 15 mile trip in the evening still, but the way it should look under there is brown digestive+butter crust base, then a white layer with the philly cheese, cream, white chocolate and turkish yoghurt, then a pink layer with cream, turkish yoghurt, powdered and frozen lingonberries, and then the clear pink top layer.

It's turning out surprisingly well for my first gelatin cake, I did have some problems with the top layer at first, I used frozen lingonberries in it and it cooled too quickly, leaving a pile of lingonberry jello on top of the cake. Luckily it was easy to lift off, and I made a new batch that I kept a bit warmer before pouring it, so it set in a nicer way.

Looks like you're in an LG, too...? What kinda baby chickens?

I've read a computer fan moves too much air. I'm already at risk of drying out significantly with the humidity as low as it is here. I'm nervous about a fan. Not to mention the actual install of said fan. SCG and electricity don't mix. Just ask the emergency electrician.

oh haha had to read that a few times kept thinking what does he mean even I have gotten the temperatures(how it's done) (do I seem that spacey lol) instead of reading it as how even the temperatures. Yes been very happy how the temps been so even and good , modifying the water heater thermostat did the trick on having it respond well it has a trigger sensitivity..kinda amusing to watch the bulb flickering between off n on...lol or annoying when trying to check gauges real quick

SCG, bringing down the voltage would significantly slow it down.

Jem, yeah, it was meant as a compliment, not an insult but I can see how it could easily be misread

Flicking the light on and off at short intervals will wear the bulb out quickly though, so keep an eye on it. Do you have a backup bulb in there?

I know thats why I had to read it a few times it wasnt reading right lol, no I dont have a backup bulb but I've got my eyes on it and check frequantly I been broody as heck and I sleep like poop so...doubtful it'd be unnoticed long and have extra bulbs, this is just kinda a test run I have another socket to add for a new one after this...I'd like it to hold more this one will hold a dozen eggs maybe three more after that but that'd be taking all floor space
