Jem, do I need to fetch my big axe?

SCG, I'm terrified of electricity too. It's always been my weakest area of physics (along with nuclear physics), and I don't have good experiences working with electricity. One time I was fixing a lamp and it left my arm numb for three days when I removed the wrong wire by mistake and forgot that the other end was still plugged into the socket.

SCG, here's the simple explanation.

Think of the fan as having a large wheel to turn in there, and electricity as little men that are pushing that wheel around (Like in the beginning of Conan the Barbarian). Imagine that all of those little men are called Volt. Now, the more Volt's you've got there turning that wheel, the faster the fan will rotate. Send some of the Volt's on coffee break, and it will turn slower.
did you weigh your eggs when you incubated?

Jem, we did when we used the bator last spring. I think it's the best way to track humidity, since hygrometers are notoriously unreliable. With this latest batch we just let Töyhtis and Virpi take care of that.

The axe is to keep you away from the cake

I had this really horrible apartment in college that was covered in roaches. Covered. I used to get up in the middle of the night so I could squish them. One night I got up and there were likely thousands of roaches in my tiny kitchen. I started squishing. A pregnant one managed to slip into the light switch. I got a screwdriver and undid the cover. When I opened the cover there were so many roaches in there. I panicked. Not thinking, I plunged the screw driver within. I took the lights out in the whole building. I'm not sure if there were any roach survivors.
