The Old Folks Home

I can sew on the fly , use a pattern or adjust a pattern for whatever it takes. When my daughter got married I made her wedding dress. We lived 9 hours apart. She picked a pattern, and based on her measurements, I made a mockup of the top part and sent it to her. I had her pin it (inside out) where it was to big and mark where it was too small and by how much. It needed only a little adjustment in the waist and back. I made the adjustments and sent it back. All was good, I made the real top and sent it to her and it fit. Then I made the skirt attached it hemmed it according to he measurements. When I took it to her in Tennessee, the day before the wedding, it fit her perfect. She was a very happy girl!

I wish we had a fresh fish market nearby. That's life not near enough to water.

Yeah. Skip shipping the seeds.... We want sashimi!

Well, maybe not sashimi that's loitered in the postal system....

I apply that philosophy to cooking, sewing, building, really anything. Observe what others have done, take inspiration, hopefully learn from their mistakes, and improve the design in what you make yourself.
