The Old Folks Home

Thats great bamachicks. I wish my bator from last year would. Im worried about all my turkey eggs for my march hatch. I guess i will leave them in my new bator so i know they will hatch.

How many are you going to hatch after those?

If enough if these hatch none I'm sending to your house to avoid temptation.

Never Google something you don't really want to know the answer to.I just discovered what
Balut is. Yuck!

Metroid was way ahead of its time, I don't think I ever even beat it and played for thousands of hours. Nintendo 64 was a fav of mine, don't do games anymore, except for DH Texas holdem poker, and all the angybirds on my phone. Oh and miniclip 8 ball pool.

My sons first nintendo game ever was Metroid... He finished it the first time in eight hours....

meaning he played straight through eight hours without getting up from his chair. I was stunned to find out that Samis was a woman... He played many levels and add on packs for a good two years....

Then he got caught up in Halo.... and we had to get a whole new system.... He must have played that for four years.... On line and made friends all over the US and Mecixo. Now hes into Pc games and downloading from Steam.... But the games he and his friends play now are Board games... Role playing... Dice throwing... Strategy too.

The docs go through Kaiser like riding in a revolving door. I have seen grandma have to go through at least four during the time she has lived down here. They hire right out of med school docs That is a plus in some ways because they are up on the newest stuff... Bad because just as you develop familiarity they have moved on to greener pastures.

One doc refused to let her have a pain killing Cortizone shot in her knee.... the rules say only once every six months... Afraid of long term side effects... shes 98... Now the new doc will let her have them when she feels the need... Yay.

woah

I was warned about chows a long time ago, never had any interaction wit them to know. Tiny dogs are another story. Give me a Monstrous dog any day. LOL

Bamachicks you are SO right. DON'T GOOGLE - especially major diseases, symptoms etc. before and after surgery photos - ack, none of it. Always made me freak out.

Perchie you are so right. In our case the doctor was willing, my mom not! My mom was dying of cancer and she refused to take the morphine tablets because she would become addicted.

Diva, my grandmother was like that. Her back was totally messed up, very bad osteoporosis, and her spine was basically collapsed. She shrunk around 4 inches I think. But no, anything stronger than paracetamol was a no no, because she would get addicted. What is the difference if a 85 year old is addicted to pain meds? I tried to tell her to ask for opiates, but she wouldn't do it. She had an amazing threshold for pain though, I can only imagine how painful her back was.

I agree I loved the simple type Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid- I was no good at playing them but, I loved to watch my son play. He was quite young and when he finished the first level we celebrated. Little did I know that it wasn't finishing the game - there were MORE levels. Loved the music too.

Now all the games he plays look the same - all you see is the gun or space gun or whatever the player is holding. Just a lot of shooting -boring.

I bet you could make humongous bucks selling that Mario quilt on ebay.

I don't think anyone could afford to pay me for my time for that quilt. i loved zelda, too, and I found someone who had made a zelda quilt like my mario one, I might attempt that next.

SCG I am assuming that the ostriches are at the Rooster Cogburn ranch? Actually not interested in going to an ostrich festival.

Next time we are in the area, we can stop by the ranch. They are open to the public most days. Sorry you are going to get more snow this weekend.

Cynthia, you are moving to Maine?

I mean how can you see this and not want to go

Same difference. They're white primarily because of bears, I just meant that polar bears wouldn't be raiding hives.

Yeah, I've seen that too. In fact, I've inspected my hives before without a suit, especially in the heat of summer or when I'm too lazy to suit up. I do get stung on occasion though.

I've done it a few times, too. If I'm really careful and slow moving it's not a problem.

And..........
