Thanks Perchie, I assumed EVERYONE knew what a pot holder was. I guess Alaska is so cold, even stuff on the stove or in the oven is cold enough to handle with bare hands. Live and learn

Alaskan you must have misunderstood pot holder-ing is the art of weaving potholders from otherwise useless loops. Pot holding, is something regarding the growth, distribution and sale of some weedy product.

Not time for that yet Al... I think I'll start mine in about a month. The chili peppers are planted though. It will be interesting to see how Sam's seeds do.

It does help... Do you have any berry bushes growing in your yard there, Al? And are your forests filled with blueberries like ours are?

I actually used to have two rows of happily growing blueberry bushes, of different varieties....


and then came the year of the vole plague...


they chewed the bark off of every tiny little twig... killed ALL of those blueberry bushes... it was way worse than the year of the bunny plague -sigh-
