CC: people around here eat em. They will pay for em. A fully dressed raccoon here goes for $10-15 each.
They do ask that the seller leave ONE foot alone, to make sure it isnt a cat. Apparently people are selling counterfeit raccoons.

, but I went in and checked last night while she was sleeping, no body parts are touching the poop in the poop tray.

I have been feeding feed a bit on the low side for protein... I guess I will switch to the higher stuff next time I buy some.

Any other thoughts?
Are your roosts staggered in height that one can reach her derrière at night?

Ha. It better be far into the future before I have any grandbrats
You'll probably mellow by then too.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned the obvious here - it's clear that whatever is happening to this hen, is all ALASKAN's FAULT!! I rest my case.

You mean AL is plucking the birds before slaughter?

As for cross beak, almost always hereditary. Other beak issues can be high incubator temp and a couple other things.

My sons in charge of brewing it.... and hes not keeping up his end of the bargain.... LOL. I need espresso this morning. The cold brew stuff while very very yummy isnt as bitter as espresso I am afraid ... me likey bitter.

We also were waiting for an order of filters.... LOL I just asked him if wer were out of coffee here and why he hadnt brewed any... got an embarrassed.... "Oooh ummmm I just havent brewed it.... sorry..."

I know we have one bag left of Sumatra to brew up... When i go to the Grocery store I usually pick up a bag or two of something on sale. Mostly dark roast medium grind. Last two times I scored them for five bucks a bag.

I would like to start roasting green coffee beans. All homebrew beer and wine catalogs have supplies for it. The cheaper roasters I found out are not much different than air popcorn poppers, just cost over a $100. Watched videos on using popcorn poppers with one of those glass chimney thingys that are on oil lamps. It keeps the beans from blowing out but let's any chaff blow out. You can actually hear the beans crack, sounds like popcorn popping, after what they call the second crack its done.

I have been roasting green coffee beans since 1984.

Great place for information, reviews and equipment.
