We've gotten about 2.5 inches of snow so far. It's so pretty with everything coated in freshly fallen snow.

Oh no!!! I just walked out the door to open up the coop....and found out I had failed to lock up one of the chicken tractors last night!!!

Well, I called for the 2 birds....and they came around the corner of the house. Phew...we both got lucky this time. What with foxes, and neighbor hood dogs.

that is what I call a heart stress test.

I just watched a re-run of Conan with Jennifer Anniston as his guest. She brought him some fresh eggs. It was pretty cool.
Then I googled "celebrities who raise chickens". Martha Stewart, Gisele Bundchen/Tom Brady, Reese Witherspoon, Tori Spelling, Julia Roberts, Kate Gosselin, and Hillary Swank all raise chickens. Hillary Swank incubates eggs.

Peter Ostrum, Charlie from the original "Charlie and the chocolate factory" left acting and became a veterinarian. I wouldn't have known this but he made an appearance in Cooperstown NY for some sort of stage thing and it was in our local newspaper. He lives in rural Lowville NY and is a dairy farm vet.
