The Old Folks Home

Kathy, what did, the term "thought leader"?

I would play it safe with the goose, if you suspect AI even slightly, I'd report the bird. Either the way suggested, or then straight up honestly. Losing your own flock would be devastating, but less devastating than spreading it even further, or having it mutate and infect people.

Thanks @bamadude but I have some Dominiques... I really want some better type ones... I just don't have the energy to mess with them this year... I need to mess with my Marans and my Ameraucanas this year... and my replacement for the Leghorns.

next year I will breed up and reselect for my Dominiques and my Wyandottes and the Leghorns.

What did does that mean? Is it really just a typo that should say something like "is thought of as a leader"?

What are the symptoms of AI? So many things could cause what I saw, so I hate to worry myself for nothing.

I've kept single comb anconas and leghorns in some pretty cold weather so rose combs should do well.
We only had single comb white leghorns when I was young. No weather issues. The single comb is better for hot weather. It can range from -20 to 110+ here.

yep, I agree.

the RC Ancona from yellow house farm was very tempting... but I decided those just weren't a breed I wanted to work with.

A thought leader is a leader of thoughts, one that steers the discussion and spreads knowledge and new ideas. He or she is often innovative as well. In the field of mobile devices, Steve Jobs was a thought leader.

It does not mean that you're thought of as a leader, although it doesn't rule that out.

I just discovered I am a renowned expert in the community. To think I owe it all to ice cream
