That's originally why I got geese... there's kids that live in the trailers behind my house that walk through my property. They've shot my birds with bb guns before. I've been unable to catch them on my game cam, and thus the police have been unable to stop it. The police go and talk to the parents but the parents lie to the police and say the kids were with them.
Unfortunately the geese hated everyone, including me, and ran away.
Busy day here. I got the goat toes clipped (finally) on both goats, thanks to the new stanchion BF built. We used to have him hold the goats down while I did the nails, but only one of our goats was compliant with that procedure after becoming adults. Caramel's toenails were awful, I was so embarrassed of them and sad for her, but the stanchion (and BF holding her in it) helped keep her still enough to reasonably clip the nails. Getting the goat INTO the stanchion, however, was not easy. I also sawed up and then split a large (tree sized) branch that came off one of the giant pine trees in the front yard this past winter. I haven't split wood in 2 years - since we switched to the pellet stove and didn't burn as much wood - and it was so satisfying. Hopefully I'll sleep good tonight.
