Adorable, y'all.

I usually don't get the sticky off unless it's causing mobility issues, then they get a warm wet bath.

Dsqard and myself are off to Zion!!
It's wings were glued to its body, the eyes were matted shut and one leg was glued to it it was awful.

I soaked it in warm water with a bit of baby shampoo until it felt slimy instead of crunchy then wrapped and rubbed it with a warm towel. Did this a few time till I got the leg wings and eyes unglued. Then I moved it from the icky styro-bator and into the little Brinsea so I could monitor it better. It's all fluffed out and able to keep both legs under it now but I seem to be having a hiney issue. Not sure if it's pasty, looks like blood or a hernia. It did eat and drink a bit.

Poor thing!

It did not absorb the yolk properly. It will need vitamins and a bit of care for a couple of days but should be fine. Put some ointment on the red bottom.

Thanx Ron, I'll do that. Not giving up on this one yet...not after all we've been through. I also have one with a bruised um...is it an elbow or a knee bow? She hops and won't put pressure on it. I'm moving them all to the outside brooder area today, but I'll keep these two inside until they recover. Do you think 58 (was 57 until DH decided to get the sticky out of its egg) out of 84 eggs is a good or bad hatch rate?

@vehve Those little guys are looking good! Amazing how fast they grow, isn't it? 3 to 4 weeks is my favorite age; they are just too full of bunny cuteness for their own good. Fortunately for me (and probably for them), by the time they are old enough to sell (or eat) they look a lot less like "baby bunnies," and more like "young rabbits."

Was that the number you set or the number that went to lockdown?

It is 69% and if it was total set then it is a good hatch. Most guides say that over 70% is good enough that you do not need to change things.
