Ok now I got curious... I wanted to see how a Bee house worked

Dude I have accidentally broken broodies in these two ways. One, I gave them their own brooding box. They hated it and ran away as soon as I let them out of the box. Two, gave them eggs for a couple of weeks and then those rotten kids broke them. The broodies just assumed they had hatched the eggs and left the nests after that. Letting them sit on golf balls all summer does NOT work. Just sayin'... ;)

Oooh how about swapping the eggs for shells.... making her think they hatched...

LOL... By the way they look to be an awesome solution for wet and or snowy climates. You could gently heat the whole house for winter... just to help take the stress off.

Just a light bulb and one of those temperature cubes that switch it on when it gets below 40 degrees. I know how you are about wiring... but If you use conduit and protect the wires.

Thanks. Yeah I had a brahma die last year by us waiting for her to stop being broody on her own.
