dude, I used to dream about them hatching. Not as much now as I used to in the beginning of my days of hatching. Weird ey?

When we had the ice storm 2 years ago and we all lost power for a week at Christmas so many lineman came from "away" to help get our power back on. It was a long week but we were grateful to see the NY power truck pull up Christmas day on our road.

We had 3 long power outages one year. 2 in the winter and one in the heat of summer from a tornado. I didn't experience any of them because I was working out of town for all 3. The summer one was extremely hot and the winter ones were extremely cold. My kids spent the days at friend's houses. My wife stayed home and hunkered down as the temperature slowly went up or down.

They couldn't even get fuel because the gas stations had no power over a wide area.

People lived here long before there was electricity. I'm amazed at the stories of "back then" and how they lived regardless of where it was in the country.

They were set up for it. Wood stoves and oil lamps.

I had my first chicken dream last night. Totally weired

That's like dreaming in a foreign language.

Wow, some strange bright orb just appeared in the sky. It's obscured by clouds but I can definitely discern the sky is brighter than before. It's scary. I wonder what it is. Maybe an alien spacecraft.

What's that?

I haven't done joke of the day in a while but I just found a good one. I think this is real.

A group of women were at a seminar on how to live in a loving relationship with their husband. The women were asked, "How many of you love your husband?" All the women raised their hands.

Then they were asked, "When was the last time you told your husband you loved him?" Some women answered today, a few yesterday, and some couldn't remember.

The women then were told to take out their cell phones and text to their husband: "I love you, sweetheart." The women then were instructed to exchange phones with another person, and to read aloud the text message they received, in response to their message. Here are some of the answers:

1. Who the hell is this?
2. Eh, mother of my children, are you sick or what?
3. Yeah, and I love you too. What's wrong?
4. What now? Did you crash the car again?
5. I don't understand what you mean?
6. What the hell did you do now?
8. Don't beat about the bush, just tell me how much you need?
9. Am I dreaming?
10. If you don't tell me who this message is actually for, someone will die.
11. I thought we agreed you wouldn't drink during the day.
12. Your mother is coming to stay with us, isn't she?

Brings a tug at the heart, doesn't it?!
