The Old Folks Home

SCG would not survive down here right now. It was 100 degrees yesterday and felt like a steam sauna. I don't know what the heat index was, but 115 wouldn't surprise me. I spent the day doing a display for work on a black-top parking lot, wearing a black polyester uniform, I felt light headed several times.

We'll plan it for after it cools off some.

Just want to share some useful info with ya'll. DH and I found that if we pour some apple cidar vinegar on a wet cloth and wipe down with it the mosquitoes leave us alone. I am going to try mixing some 50/50 with water in a spray bottle and see if it works the same to just spray it on.
It also helps stop the itching after you get bit.

Be careful with the vinegar. It is listed as a cause for contact dermatitis (eczema). A lot of people in my Family(including two daughters) are very sensitive to a lot of things. My middle daughter moved to Finland and got married in February. she almost immediately broke out in a rash.

It was the Laundry soap there and was quickly resolved by a trip to the store.

Even so, rashes are better than Alabama skeeters and no-see-ums. I'm going to try it!

I just looked it up and it is 98.4 and 118 heat index right now.

Ron I have had some bad rashes from laundry soap. But so far nothing from the vinegar. And these squitoes will carry you away they are so big here in the south. I'm just happy that we found something that works.
