:/ sorry sour, but try some apple cidar vinegar just lightly.

Ron here in the south everything dies from heart worms from the mosquitoes and we have to have some way to battle them. I'd prefer it to be a natural source.

I CAN'T STAND NO-SEE-UMS.

I am not a wimp when it comes to pain, I have had three children, recovered from a c-section with no pain meds, been kicked in the stomach by a horse, been pepper sprayed, TASERed, fell 20 feet into rocks, and stabbed in the stomach --- and I'd volunteer to do any one of those again if I never had to deal with no-see-ums again!

I hate them.

We are a talkative bunch! I'm impressed that we're still going strong.

Alaskan and I are glad we live in cold climates. Generally speaking you have to wear a lot of clothes. And when it's hot, you still wear a lot of clothes or you end up dinner for bugs.

Anyone on here had their tonsils out as an adult? I go to the ENT this week and I am going to push for them to take them out. I've heard it is awfully painful for an adult procedure.

my cousin had it done when she was about 30... if its necessary you can deal with it... Good luck on the pain management... I suspect as long as you dont try to talk its manageable.

If you weigh the couple of days of discomfort with the low level illness and risk of infection as the tonsils develop sores, it is likely better to get them out.

The endocrinologist that we saw recently said that my DW should get hers removed after the parathyroid tumor was removed. It is apparently a risk for diabetics to have sores like the ones she gets. I am interested in how your operation goes for sure.

I'm good with no talking.

I have pulled some giant stones out of my tonsils over the last couple weeks. They get so irritated and inflamed that stuff trapped in them can't get out and then form stones, which makes them even more inflamed and swollen and painful, perpetuating the issue. Right now the right side is so swollen my sinuses can't drain right and my right ear is clogged as a result. Not fun. Think I'll likely be doing home surgery tonight to see what I can remove.

Anyone near an independent quilt shop that wouldn't mind going in and asking for their free row by row pattern and mailing it to me? You can check to see if one is near you here:

The self surgery is what caused the Dr. to be concerned. My DW is diabetic so an infection can lead to very bad situations.

She gets the stones too.

I've had some success using a water pik with hot water and listerine if they're small stones. Bigger stones require the home surgery. The stones are getting bigger and more frequent over the last couple months. I would really like to get these suckers out.
