My house is just off the highway that goes from Tuscaloosa to Columbus! You pass within a mile of my house when you go there. You make sure to let me know as soon as you plan that football getaway, Dude. I'll do my best to join you for that!

You can't explain a Bama home football game to someone that has never been to one. They just have to experience it for themselves. I had some "chicken friends" down from Ohio for a game last season. They are still trying to arrange another! I didn't invite them, either. Ha Ha! Just kidding, Dude, I don't mind at all!

I don't know.............It would definitely be a new way to look at things. The saying in Alabama is "Football is not a sport, it's a religion" and that is close to a good description, only too laid back. Fans down here are more than passionate about our team, more patriotic about our state and more loyal to our heritage than I get from other parts of the country. That is one of the reasons for the clinging to a certain flag. Down here, it means 'home,' not hate.

THE Auburn game (Iron Bowl) maybe, but not an Auburn game. NOPE!! Count us out. I will not do that to my guests, no, I like them........

Ok I am in if we time this right and I have to pass on the football game. I understand it is a religion down there but my houses of the holy are more like Dismals Canyon (yes please and if you can find others that are similar in the area I would love it). I think SCG and I have "killed" Zion and Bryce (well Bryce really only takes one day and then you are hoodooed out). I am ready for some foresty stuff. Dude we wouldn't leave you on the side of the path but we do like to hike long ways and if it is fairly flat, we can move out if we are trying to get somewhere. This could be fun. I used to live in the Florida panhandle which is basically lower Alabama anyway ;-)
