The Old Folks Home

Still no chickens. But I have had some wild quail nest in the yard that hatched out some babies....
I have a LONG day ahead of me. If you are so inclined, please say a prayer for me.
Patients non-stop from 7 to 7.

Dar WAS the integral part of the hatchalong - the non hatching members got to provide him with smelling salts and pep talks when he needed it most. " Mahonri, the man, the myth, the legend !" Love ya Dar

Best one, ever.

Dar was the first hatchalong. Boy I miss his 0300 panic attacks. You could set your watch by them. I never really understood it... I was incubating in a Brinsea at the time... until I started incubating in an LG still air. Now I have complete understanding of the panic.

A big toothy smile for Dar and a prayer his day goes well!

I too was sucked into the hatching vortex by the Mahonri Hatchalong threads.

@superchemicalgirl Made a stop in Morris, IL and got "One Fish, Two Fish, Three Striped Blue Fish" at The Fabric Center......and so it starts....

You are so fantastic!!! I checked their pattern out on their facebook page, it looks great! Blue is my favorite color, so I should be able to make this one straight off.

A friend also got me the one from Calvert County Maryland today. They suckered her in to buying the fabric to go with it. Did yours try to get you to buy the fabric, too? The shop I went to this weekend also tried to sell me the fabric but didn't push once I said I just wanted the free pattern.

Quote: My DH was with me (stopped after an appointment in Morris) and I went straight up and ask for the pattern. She gave it to me as two other customers walked in. I told her how beautiful their sample of the row was, looked at the impatient hubby, and thanked her for the pattern. No sales pitch. She moved on to the two women without DHs "monitoring" them. I have a couple of others I will be stopping at
