The Old Folks Home

SCG Hoping for the best possible outcome. And YES, ice cream is STILL the best after a tonsillectomy. My son didn't want any (when he had his done) SO I ate it, made me feel better instantly.

Flashback 70 years to when I had my tonsils removed - I still remember that day vividly. Post op I was starving and could smell the 'real' food. All they would offer me was chocolate ice cream. I hate it until this day.

True story from Sour the aged.

Diva, I love ice cream, so you're going to have to lay off it a few months to let the supplies increase enough so I can get my tonsils out.

Got 6 roosters processed today with 3 left in the coop. At least one, if not two, will survive and be the boys to our flock. I'm really liking the way the jubilee orp is looking, although he's a giant weenie. My leghorn roo, although not great for my meat program, is really friendly and absolutely adorable. And then there's one completely pathetic legbar roo left from the first hatch I did this year - his comb is shriveled, he doesn't crow and he's skinny. He's too pathetic to be food. I'm hoping with 6 roosters down he begins to liven up.

Chicka - with exception of the turkeys, which I'm still not sure about, everything I hatched from you were girls.

Don't worry SCG plenty of flavors I won't touch - so lots left for you like, coffee flavored, anything with strawberries in it, dark chocolate, salted caramel, toffee , most of Ben & Jerry's flavors , etc.etc.

The doctor agreed that my tonsils need to come out!

Not looking forward to the surgery and recovery, but looking forward to living without them.

I also planned my trip home to take the scenic route and stopped by 5 very rural quilt shops to pick up patterns for the row by row. Still a few more in the state I'd like to pick up. I have to travel sometimes for work to educate people, thinking I'm going to plan some trips for "work" reasons very soon. Might as well make some coworkers happy while I'm scooting around the state. Good thing we have branches in all the areas I'd like to go to.
Great news on losing the tonsils!

Made a couple of trips this week and got these five to add to the Morris, IL one:
Clinton, Iowa
Fulton, IL
Rock Falls, IL
Morton, IL
Fairview Heights, IL
More travel next month....meeting sister that lives in WA....hopefully she will bring a couple with her.
