Okay, try this.....

It is longer than I intended for it to be. I hope, Latestarter, that I haven't ruined your image of me as a proper southern lady, but I was making this video for the previous owner of my new LGD (the one with the black muzzle is the new one) and was narrating for her.

I just thought you all might get a kick out of it.
Thanks again for sharing. They are great looking dogs. Have no fear, with that soft lilting southern drawl, no narration could possibly be "too long," even if it WAS for a previous owner of your new dog

I might even enjoy holding a one sided discussion (you talking) with you as you write out a speeding ticket for me

Ummm nevermind... I don't need any tickets at the moment!

I think I have it fixed. Thank you for your help. Ron, as always, you're a peach!

Now those are free range chickens!

I am happy to help getting the video up on you tube!

Thank you for sharing Wisher. I love big dogs. They are lucky to be on such beautiful and a big piece of property! Just beautiful. I want to visit Alabama now. :) And, have to ask, where do your chickens lay their eggs?! Free range is right. Lucky chickens too. Any predator problems with all of those gorgeous woods around? Questions..inquiring minds need to know. :)
Love love your accent. :) I always have to wonder how us westerners sound to you southern folks. I used to live in FL. When I moved here as a kid, I got made fun of for having not only an accent, but manners..saying yes mam and yes sir and the like. Had an art teacher get really mad at the class room one day when I didn't understand a question and said....sir? Meaning.. what? ... around here. He was a big guy. He slammed his fist down on that desk of his and says, if only half of you kids had the manners that this young lady has. Is it still the thing for kids to do with adults out there? Use mam and sir? This was back in the 60's when I moved here. Anyway, enjoyed seeing all of that green and three happy dogs..and a lot of chickens running around. :)

I was Chicago born and bred, and am a senior citizen. I still say ' Sir or Mam ' when I address a stranger. Say things like, "I beg your pardon." "Excuse me," when I need to walk across someone's view. I'm not sure where I got that from - my father didn't talk like that and I don't recall my mother doing it either. I do know the more fearful/anxious I am, the more polite I get. Maybe it's more like "bowing and scraping."

I also have times where ,as my father used to say, "I swore like a truck driver." Actually I swore like my father. No doubt channeling Ralphy from Christmas story.
