I drink honey in my tea and will dip apples in honey. That's delicious. You should try it.

Bunnylady We froze our grapes whole and the kids would take some out and eat them froze and loved them that way.

The apples dipped in honey sounds delish. I also use honey to make a hot toddy if we get terribly sick.

Chicka, I know there are several people on the road to my house that have hives, but I don't know any personally. I haven't noticed any signs in the yards of any of those places. I would have done some checking around for you if I had known earlier. I bet there was some at the farmer's market this morning.

A honey house, similar to what deb posted earlier, might be a good solution to those cold winters, and keeping the bees alive.

I've already located where I can take a bee keeping course locally, and they sell nucs at a very reasonable price, especially if you take their course, and buy your start-up supplies from them. I can't do it yet, but I will be ready once I can.

I have only had a few in my life. My mother had 5 kids and once we all got very sick at the same time bad colds and flu I think. She made hot toddies and she only gave each of us a sip and told us to go back to bed. The next day we were a lot better.

A couple years ago my husband got very sick and he went to the Dr. every week for a month and nothing was working so I boiled some vicks on the stove then made him a hot toddie and put a towel over his head and the pot and told him to breath the vicks and steam. It helped.
I don't drink. My dad was an alcholic and I never wanted to drink. I have had a mixed drink once every 4-5 years I think. lol
Diva even if it helped I could not stand the taste. lol

I hope all goes well with the tonsils Scg.

I am having surgery Oct. 2nd to fix a umbilical hernia that I have had since 2008 when I had my appendix removed.
Dr. said he can't gurantee it will take or not get infected or pop out again.

But he said he will fix it. Ya'll wish me luck.

Wisher we just decided last night to come up there. My youngest daughter is coming up from Fl. to help me get my software working for my embroidery machine and she has never been to T-town and wants to come see the town. She bought us tickets for a Alabama football game in Nov. I hope I am getting around good by then.
