The Old Folks Home

@Wisher1000 Sorry for your loss, and my condolences for all that you've had to face. I'm glad you have a strong support net up though, it's that kind of situations that really put your close ones and yourself to the test. I wish quick healing and peace of mind to everyone involved.

@chicka, with my far shorter bunny experience, I say no to that arrangement too. Check out my bunny pen if you want a fairly simple bunny structure plan, and separate the buck from the does. And just a net in between is not enough, those things breed like, well, rabbits. So something solid to stop any unwanted pregnancies. Bunny probably has something to say about this too, but I would suggest a max of 2-3 litters per year per bunny. Our Hilma has had two litters this season, and her two daughters that we kept should give birth in about two weeks.

Sun shining nice and bright, typical of Colorado. Went out for a quick drive and the mountains are all snow covered again

Had a hard frost last night, no middle ground here... from nothing to hard frost in one day. Even had to close the windows and turn the heat on last night. Guess it got down to just above freezing @ 33-34F. But mid 60s now and a really nice Fall day. Hope y'all are able to get out and enjoy some nice weather in your where and when. Have a nice butt portion ham just went in the oven to feed me for the next several days. Laundry is all finished & the house is opened up right now to get fresh air in. Have a great weekend all!

Wisher. I am so sorry that trouble seems to have had you surrounded lately. It sounds like you are still managing to find the blessings even in the troubles, which doesn't surprise me; that is so . . . you.

I must admit, with all that has been going wrong around here lately, I am grateful that we are all well and (reasonably) functional. A few bruises and contusions, perhaps, but they heal - the hole in the heart caused by the death of a loved one never completely goes away.

I don't have a lot of experience with them. Thank you for your input. I can put the buck in a separate pen. Oh, well they are brown rabbits of some sort. I don't think the young lady knows much about them either.

Thanks vehve. I will keep them separate. I do not want to be over run with them either.
I saw your bunny pen it is very nice.

Wisher, how's your family holding up today?

This morning I finished a quilt top for a friend. I still have probably 5 hours left to go before it's an actual quilt (the basting, quilting and binding) but I thought I'd share since the theme was relevant. My friend bought this as a kit many years ago, had attempted the first step of the quilt (without proper materials) and (thankfully) gave up before ruining much of the kit. She asked me to "finish" it for her for Christmas.
