Sorry your dealing with all this Wisher. Condolences to the family and friends of the young man who died. Glad your sons came through with just minor injuries. Wasn't one of them involved in a crash a few months back as well? Hope life eases up on y'all for a while after all this. Get rest and feel better too.

My oldest had a wreck in the same truck a year and a half to two years ago....good memory, Joe!

Lisa I am so sorry to hear you are having such a horrible string of bad luck. I am sending prayers out for you, your family and the other families. I am so glad your boys were not seriously hurt in the accident. I hope your son is talking about the loss ofsuch a dear friend. It helps as you know. I completely echo Jody's statement. If you need to talk I can listen. None of us would ever take your sharing bad news as complaining. You are not that kind of gal. You are human and deserve to receive succor for your grief. You are among friends here and we willingly give that to you.

Since I've been on BYC I have seen how very often the power of prayer works. Count me in for praying for you and your sons, and that poor woman who lost her boy.

Wisher, I'm sooooo sorry about what you have been, and are going through. Prayers are going up for you, and your family, as well as for your friend, and their families. I usually give money instead of flowers too. I don't do it to be impersonal, but because there are so many additional expenses, and I figure it helps the family more than flowers. I pray things begin to turn around for you soon.

Wow, seems more recent than that... the older I get, the faster time seems to pass. I'd say it's time for that truck to go! I really do hope this finishes out the bad streak for a while. After all that, I'd say you deserve some good for a while. I'm not really a "praying" guy, but I am sending warm wishes in your direction.

I found a lady near us that has meat rabbits for sale. I am going to get a buck and doe to put in with the chickens. I will let the chickens know I will not let them pick on the new members.
They are brown cottontail's that are 3 months old. If there is to much fuss I will close off part of the run with a separate shelter in it for the rabbits.

Chicka, how much experience with rabbits do you have? I'm sorry to say it, but having spent more than 30 years breeding rabbits myself, this doesn't sound like a terribly good plan to me. I can see so many ways that this can go wrong . . . . For starters, 3 month old does may be fertile, but a pregnancy at that age can kill the mother.

Incidentally, those are not Cottontails; it is illegal to possess wildlife unless you have a permit.
