SCG, the recipe really called for a minor domestic fire? :O

The recipe actually called for you to cook it over flames and coals (depending on which part of the recipe) in a hearth.

As I only had a regular oven I was willing to cook in I had to do what I had to do to get that smoky taste.

It still smells awful in here. I had to shower and change clothes.

We didn't lose power, so yeah!

Got about 15-18" of snow, but its tapered off to about nothing coming down now. I just heard on the weather channel that the record so far for this storm is 40", about 250 miles east of me, so I guess we were lucky to be on the western edge of it.

I heard Kentucky is in a state of emergency, shut down. 18"s wouldn't even close schools here as long as the plows could keep up, if it didn't come down all at once. They only close schools for freezing rain.

No way! That much snow? Man, when I lived in VA back in the 60's, it was usually only around 6 inches..at the most. And then there was no school.
