The Old Folks Home

Alaskan I love your story about kids and clothes. I feel ya!

I had 5 children and was a single mom not to mention I was a waitress at Waffle House making 2.03 per hour.

I took my kids to Walmart and Kmart to buy new clothes twice a year in the spring and fall. When the stores put all the season's clothes on clearance they were priced between 1-3 dollars a piece.
I told the kids to pick out anything they wanted. I did not put a limit on them. I would fill 2-3 buggies full of clothes. I would pack up the spring clothes in suit cases till the next spring and break out the fall clothes from the previous fall. I had to buy them a size larger so they would fit and I would spend usually about 500.00 on all of those clothes but the kids had new clothes to wear.
If they out grew shoes in between I was always in trouble! for a few days. Lol

Congratulations on 50,000 post's!

Bunnylady was that your unicorn pony on the news tonight that took off thru the woods and down the highway in and out of cars. After running away from a birthday party? It was white with a gold unicorn and a pretty little girl holding onto the pony after they got it back. The pony had a time out.

Congrats @Wisher1000 (Founder) & all the other old folks (who spend way too much time conversing with friends here at the home

) on reaching 50 thousand posts! Was trying to see if I could find where TOFH stands WRT number of posts vs all other threads, but can't seem to find that stat. From what I can see, this is the largest thread on the site!
