The Old Folks Home

This was the first time I DIDN'T fall for the April Fool's Day Stunt - I am so proud of myself. I usually fall for everything and make a total fool of myself. I remember falling apart over other stunts and telling my family - as IF they even cared.

Latestarter, pretty sure it's sap. The sap is still running here, so it all makes sense (kinda).

Help, HELP!!

Step away I say! Step AWAY!!!

Where is the duct tape! STOP the insanity!!!!

Too late....

No one stopped me......

I put more eggs in the incubator, I think 5 or 6 dozen... But I didn't count too closely...

And yes... All tractors are already full..... Hummmmmmmm

And yes, I still have chicks in the house......

And yes, chicks are hatching Monday and next week.

:lau :lau

I guess if it gets too bad... I could always...uh.... Build another tractor! No way those count as coops! :D

BF is taking care of the "farm" while I'm away next week. He's got to take care of the birds (chickens, turkeys, ducks, guineas) and the goats. He's got seedlings I started inside the house that need TLC. I broke the news yesterday of the turkey requiring oral antibiotics twice a day and showed him how to do that.

This morning I broke the news that a shipment of eggs will be arriving while I'm out and they'll need to be unpacked and stuck under my dwarf broody.

I think that's all the surprises I have.

TWICE now, my DH has had to deal with chicks hatching while I was at the beach. This last time, 100% of the 48 eggs in the tray hatched! He only lost one to either trampling or suffocation. I'VE never had a 100% hatch rate..........sassinfrassinwrass......
