The Old Folks Home

@chickadoodles crazy about the mockingbird, I never would have guessed one would have tried to build a nest in a tomato plant. Your tomato must have been impressively thick and bushy.

You live in a bird paradise huh? I do too, which is why I keep saying how I only like the birds that eat seeds and bugs. Plant, fruit, flower, and chicken eaters are

Ya this is a pic of two tomato plants with wire around them they are larger now to the top of the wire.

We have buzzards that try to eat our calfs when they are born, and they tried to court our turkey I think. When they realized we had turkey we would wake up and have 200+ in our pastures.
My poor turkey were scared to death. We do have all kinds of birds. The squirrels are birds are eating us out of everything we are trying to grow. It is so frustrating.

I feel for you on the birds that eat more than seeds!
What do you do to protect your plants and things you don't want them in?

Klukychick I hope all your babies hatched.

Ron I hope you have an awesome hatch.

Diva have you tried Raspberry ice cream with chocolate syrup or topping? I keep seeing that commercial for the chocolate covered raspberry ice cream bars and I wonder if they are any good.

Chickadoodles no I haven't tried it but, I know I saw a coupon for it floating around. Maybe I can find it - today is grocery day.

That Mocking bird is still trying to make a nest in my tomato's.

Can someone please tell me what kind of pullet this is? I have 5 of them and they are very friendly, I thought they were Welsummers when they were smaller but they are not. lol

This one would love to be my lap baby.

She looks like a partridge rock--do they lay eggs yet? Partridge Rocks lay light brown eggs and the hens are very friendly.
