The Old Folks Home

@chickadoodles that first pic could be a welsummer, I had some hatchery ones that some looked perfect and some looked like that, still laid the dark terra cotta spotted eggs. The second pic looks like it has green legs? All my EE have green legs, two from Meyer's have no muff but still green legs and lay green eggs. I'll try to post pics from my old phone.

Boy SCG, so crappy! What's up with your birds feet? If and when I get a sick bird it usually just 'disappears' quick, I think I'd seek professional help and answers though if I had a continual problem such as this. IDK, super crappy, so sorry...

I got these from Meyer. I guess if I start seeing more than one Wellie egg I will know. :) Thanks

I will have to look at this pullets legs again. I thought they were slate? I could be wrong. My other 2 have green legs though. I will try to get a pic of them they are pretty but more skittish for some reason.

Remay is also good for covering broccoli, cabbage, etc. Keeps the cabbage moths from laying eggs on them but the plants still get plenty of air, light and water.

Your boys plan for them AND you and the spouse to eat NO vegetables this year? That doesn't sound healthy.

The feathers do not look EE, they look like gorgeous pencilling.

Given EEs aren't a breed, they can look like almost anything! 2 of my EEs (1 from Ideal 2012 and 1 from Meyer 2015) have similar penciling. @chickadoodles bird looks a lot like them.

We are supposed to eat whatever they forage, and the berries, and one kid said he would start some nasturiums now, even though it is a little late.

Also, we do have a grocery store in town. ;) Oh, and chives, we eat loads of chives, since I have those in the garden.

I am hoping the kids will make me dandelion pesto this week, I have been requesting. :ya And fireweed shoots, those are just starting, :drool

I haven't seen any fiddleheads though... And even though I keep sending the boys to check NOT A SINGLE MOREL HAS POPPED UP IN MY MOREL PATCH!!!

:hit :hit :hit :hit
