Turkeys feet are majorly screwed up again. Back to huge and puffy. All my weeks of hard work with the oral antibiotics, undone.

Yes. Gout wouldn't have responded to metronidazole and only the pad of her foot is involved, not the joints.

I was pulling for her!

I made it home in time to see the first Marans hatch. The chick looks very good--wet but not sticky. 4 more marans eggs have pips but now blue eggs have pips yet.

I hope we can get some of the UofA blues to hatch!

Sorry SCG... Perhaps turkey dinner, to be replaced by a healthier specimen? Doesn't seem (with all that you've done) like she's "repairable".

I don't know what I'm going to do. I feel resigned at this point that I'm going to let her live until she's clearly in discomfort then cull her. I don't like that option, but I think it's all I have left.

I know I was very attached to mine. My BBB hen I could not do anything but let her live out what ever life she had and I tried to make the best of it for her.
