The Old Folks Home

I have more eggs than I can possibly use. I used to sell them, but didn't like the "feast or famine" cycles or trying to time worming with molt but not too close. It just became too much trouble. THEN I would take extra eggs to work to give away. People were thrilled to get them as long as I was giving them away, but one day I sent out an email saying I had some for sale and not one person bought any. I don't bother anymore. We eat what we want and the dogs get the rest. This is my countertop this morning.

Are your dogs on an egg only diet?

Pen, excellent about the hen and chicks!

As to eggs, some states, and some food banks have insane laws (they only accept prepackaged store bought food).

My local food pantry is excellent. They take homegrown eggs, food and goodies.
I take my extras to the volunteer ladies that run the senior citizen thrift shop as a "gift" to my friends and I let them "re-gift them

Two more chicks hatched in incubator today. Due yesterday but it was cold outside for much of the hens setting so I'm expecting a later hatch. Will give these two to the hen tonight. Total of 4 so far. If fact to even have any hatch is a miracle as several eggs broke in the nest with hen and making a mess of all. 4 eggs left.
