Kluckychik I know some people on here don't do it. But.... Some serious breeders use canine red cell in their breeders water. It boosts their vitamins up and they produce more eggs. I tried it and I used it on my Buckeye and Chantecler's and the breeder I got my Buckeye from Chris Mccary uses it and he recommends it all the time on his face book page to newbie breeders.
It's not expensive and you might find it helps your breeders. I just used one cap full in a 2 gallon bucket.
