Hey, SCG, I could loan you my dog. She got after a mole this afternoon and was very intent. She has to have more practice, though, the mole was digging just as fast as she was but the mole was not taking breaks. She spends too much time on the couch!

I have glorious Sunday morning news:



I had to take it down with the .22... the thing laughed at my air rifle pellets.

It's huge. I know it doesn't look huge, but it's in the large Have A Heart trap.

While I was dispatching it another one ran across the driveway as if to mock me... but I still got ONE.

And BF slept through the whole thing. Even the .22 going off. Right outside the bedroom window.

Disturbing their nest yesterday seems to have caused some new, panicked rat behaviors.

This bucket was clear this morning. Noticed it this evening when I went to reset it again.



What an entirely fantastic day to be a rat-assassin.

I know, I'm bad..but get em! More, get those stinks!

SOLD! It's got to be at least 30 degrees cooler here. Just imagine how much faster she could dig.

The best part of that video is when your dog is on her back digging in the hole. I laughed so hard. Thanks for sharing.

No rats this morning; both Have A Heart Traps were empty of bait. One was sprung. We did get heavy rains last night, so maybe that was part of it, or they're regrouping and getting smarter again.

Ha. Thank you guys for being so enthusiastic and supportive. I have no updates other than the traps are all set, the game cam is out and hopefully tonight I will either catch something in the trap or find out with the game cam how it's avoiding getting caught. It's raining (again) so no liquid poison.

Awww wolftracks I am so sorry for your loss!

Me too wolftracks, I know how you feel. I had to put one of my holland lop juniors down this week and I have been so sad. It is hard to lose a pet. Rabbits are so sensitive. I hope you feel better soon!
