@ronott1 know how I said our sturgeon population was doing pretty good, rebounding? Just reading in New York Outdoor News that the Mohawk tribe found eleven of the huge fish gutted in the St. Lawrence river. Only eggs taken. They're not too happy. The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne on the Canadian side and the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe on the American side are holding the investigation. Must be they have their own Conservation and Environmental departments and police services cause those are the only contact #s here and Canadian listed. Must be our DEC/ECO isn't involved.

That is awful @Beer can good lord I do hope they find who did this

@Alaskan
It does have great reviews just my frustration in not being
able to use it for a month because I am too lazy
to turn eggs 3 time a day for 21 days

I got the Hova with the new IncuTurn from incubaterwarehouse, rolls the eggs and any size egg from quail to goose nothing to change, $200 shipped. Was disappointed in how cheesy it is, IMHO not worth half that. I did have a great hatch for my first time though.
If I had to do it all over again I'd have built one. Incubaterwarehouse sells both desktop kits and cabinet kits with digital control and fan. I could have built a rock solid fridgerbator for less than I paid for that Hova. I'd get myself in serious trouble with DW though :-D
Feed is getting $$$ trying to get them culled down to just breeding stock, and abandoning silkie/giant project. Just keeping white giant's, a pair of white naked necks I'm going to add a few cornishX pullets, and a red/black naked neck cockerel to keep with the rest of the nakeds.

Why abandoning the silkie/giant project?

Naked necks just way too easy to slaughter? Wanna go with them?

Kind of a shame though... After working so hard to get stick from Sandhill.

@Beer can

This is a hova bator by GQF one of the washington thread recommended them
and the reviews on them where great and I am quite new to
incubation but tried and true with chickens from way back
in another life was DVM
