The Old Folks Home

As soon as I get cleared from lung Dr, I get to have a lump removed from my breast, which will be biopsies. PET scan says it's turned cancerous. Dr says there is a possibility of a false positive. Won't know for sure until after the surgery, and can't get the surgery until the lungs are healed.

Oh man! The dog on wait!!

I understand the "smacking around" thing @penny1960 but I still think that playing aggressively with an aggressive dog is a death wish for this dog. He already has one strike and they only get two in some jurisdictions. I think he needs to learn that aggression from any party is bad.

I really like these..and of course the good ol reg. mouse trap..where the chickens can't get to them.

They can get in, but they can't get out. We've caught 5 in there at once.

I baited my squirrel trap tonight and armed it. Picked up the outside feeder and water container. Kicked around all the wasted feed and sealed the area where the coop walls join the floor with metal. Oh, I also put out a Tom Cat bait station in the coops entrance way and went overboard with securing it so nothing could get into it besides mice and rats. I walled the parameter after locking the birds up for the night with my trusty .22 revolver in my hand.

Vermin gotta die.

You have a VERY good momma hen :love

Prayers of course :fl

These do work well.  Actually putting one out tonight to catch a weasel (with appropriate trap inside of course).  One suggestion.  I use hardware cloth for the back wall.  That allows the bait scent to travel further and being able to see it makes them more determined to get to it.

Ditto.  Bucket traps are great for the little critters.  The above weasel trap or the buried glass jug traps work better for rats.

I love the hardwire cloth idea on the back side. Thanks. I believe I'll make that adjustment tomorrow! :highfive:

Death to vermin, death to vermin. Good luck!

Nothing in my trap today, it was under the coop since last night. This evening I put it inside the coop, next the the cozy nest boxes that the little devils seem to love so much.

Chickisoup I considered my AR but I thought that would be overkill.

As for growing up. Nope, ain't gonna happen. Life is too short to be taken seriously.

Day one of the fair; our animals were settled in without incident. All three of my minis are being housed together in one large stall. Betsy is happy as a clam; this little guy is in the stall next door:

400

Syd is ticked. If this little gelding was a horse, Syd would be keeping the others away from him ("my boyfriend - stay away!"), but Syd has never liked donkeys, she thinks they are loud.

A weasel, can be the most devastating predator ever.....hope you catch it.
