The Old Folks Home

Just incase anyone is interested I am fixin to list a STC 1000 and a cpu fan on BST everything else. I will be asking 10.00 plus shipping. I got these when we were building our hatcher and I wanted another incubator. But we never even opened them till today when I just took the pics to list them.

I had a heck of a time finding a vehicle in 2009 when I was in the market that was a stick shift. Only Suzuki, Jeep and Subaru had them with the AWD. Now Suzuki is out of business.

I'm guessing on my next vehicle I'm going to have to suck it up and get an automatic. I hates them, preciousss.
Pretty much any auto/truck manufacturer will sell you a stick shift vehicle...but, you will have to order it and wait. By the way, Cadillac makes one of the best standard transmissions you can get in a car...just sort of strange driving a Cadillac and having to change gears.

I am definitely not a Cadillac kinda girl. I mean...

Doing OK Al, thanks for asking. The folks round these parts are pretty decent :D   No complaints what so ever. Seems there are some more moving in this direction here shortly.

Glad to hear it!

Are you north enough to get some snow flurries?

We've been having a little snow off and on for a while but nothing that amounted to more than an inch or two.  The local tv station was beginning to do the "last time we had a Christmas with no snow" thing.  Yeah, it's been a crazy fall.  Set all kinds of new record highs, rain totals, etc. Ground is still mostly soft (tho a bit "crunchy")  and the lakes aren't even frozen over here yet tho that will probably change pretty quick.  Got up this morning to 16o F actual with a lot of wind and we should be looking at below zero nights for the near future.  Opened up the coop  this morning and the chickens just stuck their heads out  and gave me the "are you crazy?" stare and disappeared. Smart birds.

We have already been cold long enough that people are already driving out on the town lake.... talking of setting up our local ice racing.

Yes.... so true...... yes......

My first truck was a stick my truck now is a stick....  wont have any other.     Though the clutch on my truck now is setup for hauling and its a very stiff clutch.  I cant start in first gear unless I want to go very slow, because it will spin the rear tires.

Gotta love a good strong truck! :D

As to sticking goats in the back of cars.... I learned that the Jeep Wrangler is set up so that you can wash out the interior with a garden hose...there is a drain plug on the floor!!!!!

It would be most fantabulous for goat hauling.

Spouse didn't understand why I didnt haul the goats with the truck...but sheesh! I would have had to tie down the goat in the back of an open bed truck... their udder getting chapped my the wind...nope..... not gunna do that.

We put one in a crate (as a kid) in the back of the truck. The looks we got as we drove through town...

I have now driven with goats in the back of my car multiple times... I thought driving right through Anchorage would get me at least a few odd looks....

Nope... I didn't even get a batted eye.

Must be too normal for Alaska.
