The Old Folks Home

We spend more each month on food for the dogs, chickens, ducks and geese...and all the wild birds...then we do on ourselves. I do try to make them all understand how lucky they are...how they could be tied to a tree with no food or water and how the birds could be just out in the cold with no shelter. But, they don't seem to give a flying.....

But, they all provide in their own way. Actual food for the body from the birds and food for the soul from the dogs.

Diva we spend more on dog food correct we are educated enough
we want to feed a decent food to chickens and dogs and cats

good food is never wasted. Especially if its efficiently tailored to the species. Yep I would spend forty bucks for a bag of dog food... instead of sixteen for the same size bag. But the calories a dog needs are supplied by Less food with a good product. They are happier and healthier. their poo is smaller and less smelly.

I was fortunate to have dogs that wouldnt over eat... so I would free feed. Even my greyhound thrived on this... I spent forty bucks a month on dog food. for two dogs. That was before the dog food industry jumped on the bandwagon...

NutroMax was my food back then.

I'm glad I didn't have dogs when all the major recalls went out of food made in a certain country that contained toxic substance and dogs died from it.

Their baby formula poisoned a lot of babies too. But then they have no shortage of them. And they have no safety inspections for instance on escalators. Remember the young woman that was drawn into the workings and crushed too death. I haven't used an escalator since then. Hey it's healthier to climb stairs.

i have seen escalators fail here in the US... Worked at sears in the Seventies. woman fell down on the escalator one of the steps broke and her leg went through. Saw the Firemen disassembling it to get her out.

Stairs are forever off my list for exercise. Elevator is good. I used to design elevators... I KNOW how much safety is involved with them.

I completely agree.

I stand there...look at the super inexpensive dog food.. wanna buy it because of the price... realize I just can't, even though I hate the dog.... and then buy the good expensive stuff

I had a fresh dog food company added dehydrated before it was
everyone's thing lol sold out when I had to let everything go sometimes
I miss it... they went to kibble grain free well **** dogs need grain also
so what do they think... gave up buy Costco domain something turkey
or whatever dogs do ok they like I grumble but do not cook for them

I have a cat that I couldn't get to be able to digest cat food, no matter the brand, wet or dry. He would get a VERY upset stomach... so all of the downstairs cats and the dog all eat raw chicken and raw anything else I can get my hands on cheap. I just feed them once a day and they are all doing great now.
