The Old Folks Home

SCG -- That store sign is an event unto itself. Great laugh!

We feed the the Blue Buffalo expensive stuff to the little dog and Costco's Mainland turkey+ kibble to the greyhound because that's what he had been fed at the foster's house. The expenses work out about the same for each dog as she eats tiny and he's, well, a chow hound. I do cook for them, too, mainly because canned food makes for lots of gas and stinky poo. (Learned that with the other greyhound) They LOVE the turkey, rice, butternut squash, sweet potato and carrot medley that gets concocted every half week or so. They also get a multi-vitamin every now and again and a daily joint supplement.

Yes on the tatt. Just one, a yin-yang/sea turtle tramp stamp. Kept it rather undercover because Mom threatened disinheritance if any of her kids ever got one (of the mindset that tattoos are for sailors, bikers and loose women...she was SO victorian and, just for the record, I was none of the above) and Sister put the kabosh on socializing with tattoed folks because she didn't want her kids to desire one. Let Sis see mine after Mom passed. Niece got one recently once she turned 18, a jellyfish at the base of her neck and the tentacles dangle down her back -- she's a beach baby -- and now Sister is contemplating getting one, possibly a lotus flower, to cover a nasty scar on her leg after her melanoma ordeal provided she can get over her aversion to needles. Funny that. Anyway, DH -- a Navy guy -- has the requisite anchor and then some assorted others and got a pass from the folks because "that's what guys in the Navy do," plus the folks both adored hubby.

No tats . The thought of burnt flesh holds no appeal to me.

I never had the urge but grew up country and just didn't think of it
at 13 my older step brother him 6'4 me 4'9 said he was my Dad and helped me get my ears pierced
shameful huh Dad was not too happy

Ears are double pierced first time was when I was about ten Mom did it with a sewing needle and some nylon thread.... second time I was about eighteen when multiple pierced ears gained popularity...

I have seen some lovely tattoos and quite a few women who get whole sleaves... With the new colors avalible and the ability to tattoo with glow in the dark ink its always been a day dream of mine.

I draw and sketch a little and would like to have a rose done where I could see it in the mirror... something in very clean crisp black lines with a bit of shading... Then When i would go out on occasion I could color the rose in with eye shadow to match my dress.

Spray on some anti persperant to keep it dry then do the coloring with the eye shadow then spray with hair spray to fix the color.

Back in the Laugh in Days I used to do body painting for friends. just on the face....

These days though after seeing what migrates where I will give the tattoo a pass...

for what its worth I am sixty one so my going out days are over...

Ummm As far as I'm aware tats and burning aren't really the same thing... Tats are needle injected paint/dye. Burning is done primarily as branding and for scar generation. Another body modification, but not as readily accepted. Unless you're talking about burning the tat off once it's been applied...

Perchie tell me about it. I'm 69. My going out days ended in 2000. Not my choice. Nobody was interested since then. However it's been a big relief that I don't have to dress for a date, I can just bum around in my grungies and enjoy myself. Sometimes I am very good company and don't blame myself for everything.
