I'm older than your mom and I won't eat a lot of stuff either. Banana pudding maybe, but I'd have a fit on the wafers. LOL If she's always cooked, it's hard to be somewhere where you have no control over your food.Unfortunately my mom is not what is considered elderly. She will be 50 on August 23rd. It is not the fact that she can't eat it is that she won't. I love the Banana pudding tho. That is definitely a favorite. She will definitely eat eggs.
If you can't kill them maybe you can use mint to control where they don't go-- or drive them to the neighbor's!!![]()
It would be funny to take a couple of them to a taxidermist and have them to pose them as if they were sitting at a poker table with a couple of beers and a deck of cards. You know, sort of like they are planning their next crime of terrorizing farmers.I had to gently remind my neighbor again yesterday to not leave her food out in the wire cages she uses for her chickens at night... that the rats will be coming to feast, soon, if they haven't figured it out already.
There's only a few people I'd wish my rat plague on, and she's not one of them.
I am hoping to one day be able to show off my dead rat pile just like the terriers pile.
I was actually thinking of the similar "rats playing poker" or something like this for each of my kills:It would be funny to take a couple of them to a taxidermist and have them to pose them as if they were sitting at a poker table with a couple of beers and a deck of cards. You know, sort of like they are planning their next crime of terrorizing farmers.

@ Chicken-- look for the book on eating while going thru cancer treatment. Sorry I can't remember the book. A great read. Fairly recent publication. You might find it useful. WIll look for the title and send you a pm if I can find it.
I have heard a lot about juicing wheat grass and the benefits for cancer patients. I have had it straight as a shot and it tastes like what grass smells like, if that makes sense. If you add it to a smoothie you cannot taste it at all. I also had a friend who use to give her sister sour lemon candy when she was going through treatment. Apparently there is a metallic taste from the chemo treatments which makes eating unappetizing, I believe that is what she said, anyway the sour lemon candy apparently help tame the metallic taste and helped her eat. I wish you and your family the best.Oh Arielle I am going down in about 17 days to see her. She lives in Florida I live in Arkansas, And I have already told my dad that I am on cooking duty. She is just eating Ensures and fruit right now. BUt I can convince her that their is better options. The kids have been picking and freezing blackberries for her. And I am bringing Avacado's for protein. Lots of Vitamin C to. Any other suggestion on stuff to easily slip her. She is not open to alot. She wont eat leafy dark greens.
best herbal remedy for cancer patients is herb. Cannabis is an amazing appetite stimulant. Its a shame we are so prudish as to put barriers in the way of people that could really benefit from it.
