The Old Folks Home

I agree...

Be allergic to peanut butter.

Fried catfish is just so good!

She's not a happy meal, processed food kinda girl. Draven is used to eating pizza roll or hotdogs or stuff like that so when he first started coming over he would complain about what was for dinner. His mom would've made him something else, but Mamaw don't play that. Once Maddy and I got him interested in helping to cook the meals he was actually willing to try new things. They love running outside to pick what we need from the garden, and I love that they know which herbs are which.

He didn't come in last, lol. It looked like a few of the cars were made by the parents. He won a ribbon for best effort. He had a good time so that's all that mattered. And pride that he did the work himself. The DD on his car is for Dunkin' Donuts. I am addicted so he made them his "sponsor."
My husband is impressed! Congratulate him for us.

Well I wish they'd hurry up and figure it out. It's been months now and all the tests and medicines are starting to get her down. Spring needs to get here soon so we can get out in the garden and get her mind off of all this. We do have ducklings in the incubator that are due to hatch this weekend. She's planning a sleepover with her cousin, Draven, and his sisters. (Who also call me Mamaw)
Allergies are very hard on them!

I hope they can figure out how to help her. My Daughter saw an allergist that set up the shots. The shots work by de sensitizing you to the allergen. They give you small doses of what you are allergic to so that your immune system learns to not attack it.

Allegra seemed to help her. When she had a reaction to the shot, they had her drink liquid allegra.

Poor thing!

When I was little, i had a bad reaction to red food dye, now I get asked EVERY time I go to the doctor, even if it is a doctor I have seen before... I went to a "pink party" where there was pink 7-up, pink cake with pink icing, pink ice cream... everything was pink... I got hives and spent the night in the bathtub.... so, pretty much, unless you force feed me an entire bottle of red dye, I should be ok.... it's still on my record...

I had some friends with two sons that were sensitive to red dye; the difference is they had a "brain allergy" to it (behavior change). They both became hyper and aggressive. Heaven forbid that they both got into it at the same time - it was like being in the ring with rock em sock em robots!
