The Old Folks Home

Nope.  Surfer dude speak for that sentence is "You harshed my mellow."     [surfers in the family...I actually heard that sentence!]

I surmise that harshing one's Chi is more the yoga-ish set, or tai kwon do.  (sp)

Laughing SO HARD over "you harshed my mellow"!!!!!!!!

harshing my chi is in:

Team Hot Wheels

Al's children might have this movie or watched it. Check at 34.54 in the movie

Ah! Thanks for the research Ron. We only have ne movie theater in town (an old quanset hut with a false front), and it usually plays just one movie per week.

The result is that ALL kids in town have memorized the words.....if it was a kid friendly movie of course.

The theater sells punch cards and such for frequent visitors.

sounds like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Phrase.........

I have a facebook account. I try to keep up with distant cousins and see pics of my kids and grands.
But also some great gardening groups.

I block all the negative junk and my privacy settings are so only friends can see my stuff.

winter wettest in years spring wetter than winter
awful tired of the fain need sunshine
Here too (as I sit here watching it rain) we're over 4" over normal just for this month so far

Dang...sounds like spring...for you. We would never get such a high temperature spike...but otherwise it sounds right on.

My pond has FINALLY started thawing...have some liquid showing now...

AND

THE CRANES HAVE ARRIVED

so, even if we get some more snow...eh, counts as spring now. No doubt.
One of my crazy 1 yr old GLW's has started trying to imitate the call that the pair of cranes make every morning as they cruise low over the house moving from stream in our back 40 to the farm fields to our south. Took me a while to figure out what she was doing because it didn't sound like she was trying to crow (she can hear the neighbor's roo sometimes). This normally quiet bird who doesn't even chatter will let out this extremely LOUD long squawk for no apparent reason making all the other chooks freeze in their tracks trying to figure out what the heck was that! She has also decided to do this, more than once, after she's quietly sauntered up behind me and scared the heck out of me!!!

And that temp was way above normal for us. In a normal year we would be holding our breath that we would have ice out on the lakes before the opening of fishing season (first weekend in May) but this year the ice is already gone.

Come to think of it though BYC has a presence on Facebook for chicken folks. I know several people have jumped to that one.

I've been on that page for quite a while.
I'm pretty sure I have a FaceBeak account.
I'm certain I am since the only thing that pops up on my newsfeed is 90% chicken related and 10% from family.

I have had the Facebook account almost since it's inception that said only
been on here 2 years stumbled on it quite by accident and with the election this year it became
so awful with all the rhetoric I actually barely go to there anymore but for the Daughter and a few
cousins
A little longer here than you but basically Ditto.

Y'all crack me UP!

I don't like to talk on the phone or travel too far from my comfort zone so Facebook is my way of spending time with far flung family and friends. I'm always on.

Their messenger app is super handy. I use it way more than phone or text. We don't get cell service at our house so with Wi-Fi I can get a hold of people with my cell phone, as long as they're a "friend" on Fbook of course.
Could pick up the regular phone I guess but then your compelled to have a long drawn out conversation when you just want to ask or say one thing
