This year was a "backyard robot" to help with chicken and other tasks. They were poling people on what tasks chicken and otherwise they would like robotic assistance with and asking what other animals the people had that they would like assistance with. Last year was feed that would make a white egg layer lay whatever color egg you wanted, just chose the correct feed.

They are very funny!

The Mods have to delete all posts questioning it as an April Fools prank. It is a lot of work for them

Some of the long time members play along, of course, but for anyone who has been around this forum (or other sources of information) for any time at all, the gags should be obvious. Take the one from a few years ago, when they announced that they were merging with Facebook to create Facebeak - as many times as I had seen people given a tongue-lashing for bringing Facebook drama here, I knew it couldn't possibly be true, even if the absurd name didn't tip a person off.

My sweet DH rototilled the field garden early this morning for me so I was able to get the potatoes into the ground before the rain later.
Now I am in the house cooling down, it got up over 60o F already!!!
Did I mention that there is a winter storm watch just to our north and west, we are supposed to have heavy rain tomorrow and SNOW on Thursday

This is precisely why I don't talk to most people.

Agreed.

Just asked DD#2 (edit, I put dw#2 again lol) as they went out to school bus. Called her name repeatedly.... I got "what do you want from my life?"
Hmmm!
But no, she's never heard that saying.

I got a shudder of horror from BB2K, who informed me that, while those words exist within the lexicon, that particular juxtaposition is foreign to her ears. Her hypothesis was, "surfer dude speak?"

Ok...so clearly a local thing.

Since Ron hasn't heard it either... and he lives in surfer-ville, it must be a local thing produced from our local hippie-pothead-Wiccan community.

Oh yeah... we have it all.

Dang...sounds like spring...for you. We would never get such a high temperature spike...but otherwise it sounds right on. My pond has FINALLY started thawing...have some liquid showing now... AND THE CRANES HAVE ARRIVED so, even if we get some more snow...eh, counts as spring now. No doubt.

OKAY!!! I admit I was one big fool when BYC said they were merging with Facebook. I told my family who just didn't seem to care. I was just horrified ,and even when I found out it was for April Fool's Day, I thought it still might happen.

Can you say "extremely gullible?"

I'm pretty sure I have a FaceBeak account.
