Chicki I'm sorry about your BIL.

Wicked I'm sorry about your chick.

I was trying to get through all the post's last night but had to go to bed. Sorry.
I took so cuttings from my plum and peach trees. Well I know at least one of my plum tree cuttings rooted! Whoot whoot! I believe the peach and one more of my plum tree cuttings have also taken root but they are in one of my grow bags in the garden and this place is still so flooded that I sink when I try to go out. So I have not been out in the yard in over two weeks except by truck to leave the house. And my Avocado tree is looking pretty.

Thank you. :hugs

I always wanted to try growing an avocado...I just never did it.
That's great your cuttings are rooting! :woot

Personally I like to fall asleep while I'm typing something...and I wake up with 15 rows of the letter P or something. :lau Thank goodness for the saving draft option.

I didn't get to bed last night, again. :barnie But I did catch a few zzz's this morning from 7-9am. Apparently the boy was wanting to do washing and he wanted to know what to do with the laundry in the washing machine.
I was trying to tell him about putting embryos in the washer... gig.gif
He said it was pretty funny...I was concerned about my embryos...and wasn't making any sense at all! :lau

:lau That's funny! Sorry your having trouble sleeping.
I have to take Tylenol pm or something to help me sleep.

From the Central Maine Guincident Command Centre:

Guineas do not like fireworks.

End transmission.

Sorry.

My chickens and dogs don't like them either. Dang I forgot to put something around my wire so the neighbors kids don't shoot fireworks at my chickens! I guess I will have to work on that tomorrow.

thank you everyone for your kind words, prayers and good thoughts on the loss my DH's (not so) little brother. :love I've been able to have a lot of memories that made me smile. It was hard talking to his wife yesterday when she called to thank us for.......and she barely made it thru the call. I told her it will take time for her to find her new normal, but she's the strongest woman I know and I know she'll make it. She's surrounded by good fiends and loving family to help her adjust.

Guineys and fireworks, poor birds  but that just has to be hilarious!!!

I stood out back today and just soaked it in. All I could hear was the occasional gentle tinkling of the windchimes as the barely moving wind would occasionally lightly touch them and the quiet chattering of the girls when they came up to tell me about all the yummy things landing on the wet grass this morning. The whole day had a softness and peace about it and I couldn't help but think that this is the only way to be able to truly contemplate what this holiday celebrates and to remember all the sacrifice.
All the noise, jubilation, family, food and parades are wonderful and create great memories but I try hard to remember that this is not just a "date" to celebrate (July 4th) but a time to celebrate our Independence Day. I hope everyone is having a great one :D

I can actually sleep...pretty much anywhere and at any time.
I just have to get to bed.
These 36-48 hour bits are a somewhat hard on the system.
